Ok so WoW has been around for almost four years now. Compare the 4 year old wow to the 4 year old EQ then.
Now I never played WoW but for a few hours so I can't say anything sensible about the WoW raiding game, but in the 4 year old EQ people were allready raiding in pop, a fully functional, challenging raid endgame.
Also it's not like the WoW developers had to re-invent the wheel to make some propper raids. All the pioneerswork was done allready ......... by EQ. Better to copy some good stuff then re-invent the wheel yourself badly.
Know the facts if you are going to bash at another MMORPG please.
Do you think really that EQ was the first (wheel) MMORPG?
***wrong***
Meridian 59, ever heard of it?
I haven't to be honest, but according to wikipedia this was the 1st , followed by Ultima Online and then EQ
I guess that even Ultima online copied a bunch of nifty things from Meridan 59 and EQ in turn did the same from Ultima online and the next game did the same also, I mean its common that various online games, copies idea's from each other, which I am quite sure that every mmorpg has done since Meridian 59.

However, the game contained many other features that modern games duplicate later: guilds had a dynamic voting system for changing leadership, customized sigils that appeared on shields, and guild halls that could be won or lost. There were also in-game bulletin board system (called newsglobes), a personal mail system that both players and NPCs could use to send messages, a political meta-game, and frequent expansions that expanded the world and gameplay options
Recognize the above for example?
